Goodwill is for Everyone
At Goodwill, our greatest asset is our team members. We believe their diverse set of skills and lived experiences makes our organization stronger. Our team members reflect the communities we serve and demonstrate a curiosity for learning and a willingness to share open dialogue that supports diversity and inclusion.
Together, we foster a culture of belonging, one where everyone is valued for who they are. This culture serves as the foundation for our organization’s mission and vision. Click here to read our full statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
Resources for Team Members:
DEIB Taskforce
Goodwill’s team member-led taskforce is open to all employees at all levels of the organization. The taskforce holds monthly virtual meetings where team members shape Goodwill’s culture by providing feedback, develop and support the roll out of DEIB initiatives, and create DEIB awareness.
Inclusion & Belonging Book Club
Network with peers and bond over a shared love of reading and curiosity for learning more about topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The book club is open to all team members and meets virtually. Past book selections include A Most Beautiful Thing by Arshay Cooper, If They Come For Us by Fatimah Asghar, and I’m Still Here by Austin Channing Brown.
Open Conversations
Throughout the year, Goodwill hosts virtual Open Conversations for team members at all levels to come together to discuss real world issues that impact them. Everyone is invited to speak, listen, and learn. Topics range from sensitive real world issues to general cultural awareness. All are welcome.
